Rockford (WIFR) -- More than 100-local students are now college graduates, marking a milestone in their lives and a big day for the institution.
It?s Rockford Career College?s 150th anniversary. Graduates walked the stage at heartland church this morning. Rockford mayor Larry Morrissey was this year's commencement speaker. He helped welcome 130 grads into their new career field. Some former students say they are excited about what the future holds while keeping a close eye on the economy.
The students will receive job placement assistance, which is helpful, considering a recent report shows, more than half of grads are having trouble finding full time jobs.
