Staycation: Armani Dubai Hotel | Kero's Celebration

Where do I even start? I am still reeling from the wondrous experience!

We arrived earlier than the check in time. We thought of staying in the lobby and drink the exquisite design Giorgio Armani is famous for. But each and every staff is attentive when we arrived. We were ushered pass the shadowy lobby with its spider web like steel structure. My eyes took time to adjust as there was not a sight of gold (LOL!) Dubai hotels are famous for. Everything is subdued and restraint yet speaks opulence. Dark rich brown walls against cream and grey upholstery.? And occasionally broken by small rectangular silk orange seat cushions. The flowers in lacquer vases are arranged exquisitely and before my eyes could wander further, a tall white man came forward with such dazzling, sincere smile. He introduced himself as Boris, our lifestyle manager.

Check-in was quick. During phone reservation, I booked for Armani Classic Room and asked for? a higher floor if available. Boris had all these in his notes and took us to 39th floor with? sweeping views of the city. Although he did mention the room given to us was bigger than the standard classic room, it was just too big. Not that I was complaining but this is definitely not 70 or 75 square-meter guest room.

They gave us Armani Premiere Suite.

They gave us their signature white chocolate cheesecake from Armani Ristorante.

They left us a note of well-wishes.

So this is designer-pampering ((^_^)).

Although Giorgio Armani meticulously supervised the entire design of the hotel, down to the room controls and the soap, he was backed up by Wilson Associates, the interior design firm headquartered in Dallas.

The lobby dominated by a tubular arch construction is created by? French-American sculptor and artist Louise Bourgeois.

After the lobby, a carpeted corridor leads you to the lift. On both sides are Armani Retail Stores including Armani Fiori and Armani Dolci.? The public spaces and 160 guest rooms and suites are located mostly on the first eight floors of the tower, plus floors 38 and 39, with 144 Armani-designed short-stay apartments on floors 9 through 16.

Is this how it feels and look like when you board a spaceship? The hallways to the residence has futuristic feel.

Living room of Armani Premier Suite. The wall hides the well-stocked private mini bar and entertainment system.

Probably the best-smelling bedroom with walk-in closet and ensuite full? bath. The subtle fragrance of the room makes you want to stay in there all day ? masculine, sexy, inviting.

Monogrammed towels. Tempting as it was, I didn?t brought home any. Do know that they profile you in every hotel you stay. It is best to keep your record clean.

View from the bedroom. We slept really late just watching the city go by.

?Outdoor swimming pool.

Verdict: If you can?t buy them, stay with them. The Milanese designer? is highly revered and almost legendary in the world of art, design, and fashion. I will never afford any of its item ? not even a bottle of Armani parfum.? Truly, Armani Hotel Dubai is expensive but like any avid traveler, a designer hotel is a must on your bucket list. I thoroughly believe the experience and their impeccable hospitality is worth every penny.
