Google for Nonprofits: $10,000 per month in AdWords | Estes Park ...

GoogleForNonprofitsToday I was searching Google and found an interesting resource. It is Google for nonprofits. One of the features of the program that I?m highlighting today is?Google Grants | AdWords for nonprofits. According to Google,

?Google Grantees receive a grant for free AdWords advertising on Google.com. Grantees build and manage their own AdWords accounts just like paying advertisers, but participate with the following restrictions:

  • A daily budget set to $330 USD, which is equivalent to about $10,000 per month

  • A maximum cost-per-click (CPC) limit of $2.00 USD

  • Only run keyword-targeted campaigns

  • Only appear on Google.com

  • Only run text ads

  • Run for as long as the organization remains actively engaged with their Grants AdWords account?

You probably know Google AdWords are small text ads that Google includes in its search results based on the keywords that you choose to use in your AdWord Marketing Campaign. Google AdWords campaigns have a proven track record for being effective and I recommend them to clients to augment their page rank and in some cases their lack of page rank. It can take awhile to build page rank and?visibility?in search results. With AdWords you can buy your way to appear on that valuable ad real estate above the fold. With a Google Grant you can put your dollars toward your mission and thank Google for the opportunity to be discovered.

To get a grant to promote your nonprofit on the keywords of your choice may be a just what your nonprofit marketing folks are dreaming about.

To get started?sign-up for Google for nonprofits, check your eligibility, and apply.?Please let me know if as a result of this blog post you join the program and pursue the Google Grants.

Besides Google Grants there are other reasons to join the program.

  • YouTube for Nonprofits:?Premium branding capabilities on YouTube channels, increased uploading capacity, the ability to select custom thumbnail images, and Call-to-action overlay on your videos.
  • Google Earth Outreach Grants:?Free licensing for Google Earth Pro and Maps API for Business.
  • Google Apps for Nonprofit:?Free version of Google Apps for Nonprofits

I think it is great that Google supports the Nonprofit sector with this program and hope it will be helpful to your nonprofit to help you better meet your goals in our digital age.

Have you joined Google for nonprofits? If so please comment and let us know your thoughts.
