Florida ranked second in clean energy job creation during the second quarter, with 7,375 jobs created in environmentally clean-energy areas such as wind and solar power.
The Sunshine State may be the sixth most toxic state in the nation, but when it comes to clean energy, it creates the second-highest number of clean energy jobs in the country, the Tampa Bay Times reports.
According to the national industry group Environmental Entrepreneurs, Florida ranked second in clean energy job creation during the second quarter, with 7,375 jobs created in environmentally clean-energy areas such as wind and solar power.
Florida followed California, which topped the list with 20,879 jobs, but was ahead of New York, with 1,408 jobs.
