It's good to have you back in the game! Life is a pretty daunting thing when it comes to trying to keep up with roleplaying, indeed. I can only hope you'll have fun now that you've come back. It may take a little adjustment, but the community here is generally pretty friendly, and I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time.
And try not to worry about your roleplaying being rusty -- we were all there, at some point. On RPG, there are roleplays to accomodate all skill levels. And I'm American, but RPG is known to have a wide plethora of nationalities. English included, so you're bound to meet people from over the world.
Onto roleplaying! You might want to take a gander at the rules before you hop in and get into the action. They're simply and succinct, and giving them a good once-over will help you fit in with the community. If you'd like, you can also take a gander at the User Manual, which is a pretty nifty guide to roleplaying on RPG.
And if you want to get started and hop in a roleplay, you might want to check out the Interest Check and Roleplayers Wanted forums.
Additionally, I'm a Marvel guy myself, but I'm not judgin' ya (too hard). Especially since you're rooting for batman. d: I'm afraid I don't watch much TV, but I did give a few episodes of Doctor Who a look. Good show, that is.
Anyway, it's a pleasure to have you on RPG, and once again, welcome. If you have any questions, say the word.
